Real Property

This section of the office is responsible for valuing all the taxable real property in Tehama County for property tax purposes. This department consists of 9 staff members. This includes the Assistant Assessor, 6 full time appraisers and two support staff. Tehama County is divided up into geographical areas.  Each appraiser is assigned to an area to appraise. There are a few exceptions to this in that one appraiser handles all the property that is under the Williamson Act contract, no matter where its located.
